Michaela Romesburg

I am part of an art exhibit this Friday at Art Explosion Studios at 2425 17th Street at Potrero, in San Francisco from 7pm-10pm. This photo represents a snapshot of what I will be exhibiting. I went and hung this tonight and saw some great work from my peers. There will be 25 artists showing....lots to see and enjoy

I created these small pieces that are photo transfers with embroidery on top and stretched on a 12"x 12" canvas. I love to make these and give them as gifts. These are much simpler and easier pieces than the large sewn fabric work I do..

A series of weavings I did in college circa 2000. These were woven on a loom with wool and cotton yarn and thin silver wire. The wire allowed for the textile pieces to be sculpted and to maintain their shape.
